Kapas cinde adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Asclepias curassavica ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Asclepias curassavica diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
