Lysimachia tonsa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari West Virginia hingga Texas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan southern yellow loosestrife. Nama ilmiah Lysimachia tonsa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alphonso Wood pada tahun 1905.
