Potentilla arguta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tall cinquefoil. Nama ilmiah Potentilla arguta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frederick Traugott Pursh pada tahun 1814.
