Saccharum contortum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Saccharum contortum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Baldwin pada tahun 1818.
