Sphaeralcea angustifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga Nebraska dan Meksiko. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan copper globemallow. Nama ilmiah Sphaeralcea angustifolia diperkenalkan oleh Antonio José Cavanilles pada tahun 1831.
