Trichophorum cespitosum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah belahan bumi utara yang beriklim sedang . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tufted bulrush. Nama ilmiah Trichophorum cespitosum diperkenalkan oleh Carl Johan Hartman pada tahun 1849.
