Tripsacum latifolium adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Amerika tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wideleaf gamagrass. Nama ilmiah Tripsacum latifolium diperkenalkan oleh Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 1906.
