Amaranthus dubius adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spleen amaranth. Nama ilmiah Amaranthus dubius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1912.
