Dodonaea viscosa merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan florida hopbush. Nama ilmiah Dodonaea viscosa diperkenalkan oleh Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin pada tahun 1760.
