Machaerina angustifolia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Pasifik tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan polynesian twigrush. Nama ilmiah Machaerina angustifolia diperkenalkan oleh Charles Gaudichaud-Beaupré pada tahun 1956.
