Tengkawang adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dipterocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Nama ilmiah Shorea beccariana diperkenalkan oleh William Burck pada tahun 1887. Nama ini merupakan sinonim dari Rubroshorea beccariana.
