Tecoma capensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Bignoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cape honeysuckle. Nama ilmiah Tecoma capensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1828. Nama spesies ini merupakan sinonim dari Tecomaria capensis.
