Justicia carnea merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil tenggara dan selatan hingga Argentina (Misiones). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan Brazilian-plume. Nama ilmiah Justicia carnea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Lindley pada tahun 1831.
