Rosa × centifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dan merupakan hibrida buatan hasil persilangan antara Rosa canina, Rosa gallica, dan Rosa moschata. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cabbage rose. Nama ilmiah Rosa × centifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
