Acalypha communis subsp. paraguariensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Paraguay hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Acalypha communis subsp. paraguariensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Hippolyte Chodat pada tahun 2013.
