Acalypha communis subsp. saltensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Acalypha communis subsp. saltensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ferdinand Albin Pax pada tahun 2013.
