Acalypha filipes merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Acalypha filipes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sereno Watson pada tahun 1961.
