Acalypha laevigata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Nama ilmiah Acalypha laevigata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1805.
