Acalypha umbrosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Pulau Socorro, Colima, Jalisco). Nama ilmiah Acalypha umbrosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1899.
