Acalypha weddelliana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil timur. Nama ilmiah Acalypha weddelliana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henri Ernest Baillon pada tahun 1865.
