Acanthophyllum grandiflorum merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Afghanistan hingga Pakistan barat. Nama ilmiah Acanthophyllum grandiflorum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Ellerton Stocks pada tahun 1852.
