Acanthopsis horrida merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Provinsi Cape sisi barat laut. Nama ilmiah Acanthopsis horrida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1847.
