Acanthus hirsutus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Aegea timur hingga Türkiye. Nama ilmiah Acanthus hirsutus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1844.
