Acer negundo adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada hingga Honduras. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan boxelder. Nama ilmiah Acer negundo diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
