Acer pectinatum subsp. taronense merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia timur hingga Brazil (Pernambuco dan Paraná). Nama ilmiah Acer pectinatum subsp. taronense pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Raphael Eduard Handel-Mazzetti pada tahun 1977.
