Acer platanoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa hingga Asia tengah dan Pakistan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan norway maple. Nama ilmiah Acer platanoides diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
