Acer tenellum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan timur, Hubei barat). Nama ilmiah Acer tenellum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ferdinand Albin Pax pada tahun 1889.
