Achillea taygetea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Yunani. Nama ilmiah Achillea taygetea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1849.
