Achyranthes splendens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Maui, Lanai, Oahu). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan maui chaff flower. Nama ilmiah Achyranthes splendens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1849.
