Acianthera similis merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil selatan hingga Argentina (Misiones). Nama ilmiah Acianthera similis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rudolf Schlechter pada tahun 2016.
