Acidoton urens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Jamaika. Nama ilmiah Acidoton urens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1788.
