Aconitum orientale merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Ranunculaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye hingga Kaukasia. Nama ilmiah Aconitum orientale diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Philip Miller pada tahun 1768.
