Acourtia platyptera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (México State, Michoacán, Guerrero). Nama ilmiah Acourtia platyptera diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Benjamin Lincoln Robinson pada tahun 1973.
