Acroceras boivinii merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Comores. Nama ilmiah Acroceras boivinii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Christian Mez pada tahun 1950.
