Acroceras excavatum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun atau semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Venezuela, Brazil, hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Acroceras excavatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johannes Theodoor Henrard pada tahun 1988.
