Paku laut adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Pteridaceae. Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Acrostichum aureum ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Sebutan lain untuk paku laut adalah wirakas atau kerakas. Nama ilmiah Acrostichum aureum diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
