Adolphia californica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California to Mexico barat-barat-daya (Baja California Norte). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan california prickbush. Nama ilmiah Adolphia californica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sereno Watson pada tahun 1876.
