Aegilops tauschii subsp. strangulata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye hingga Kaukasia dan Iran. Nama ilmiah Aegilops tauschii subsp. strangulata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Eig pada tahun 1973.
