Aeschynomene cristata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis Afrika dan Afrika Selatan, Madagaskar barat. Nama ilmiah Aeschynomene cristata diperkenalkan oleh Wilhelm Vatke pada tahun 1878.
Aeschynomene cristata var. pubescens J.Léonard Aeschynomene dewevrei De Wild. & T.Durand Aeschynomene mazangayana Baill.
