Aeschynomene evenia merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Texas, kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan shrubby jointvetch. Nama ilmiah Aeschynomene evenia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Wright pada tahun 1869.
