Aeschynomene rudis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan zigzag jointvetch. Nama ilmiah Aeschynomene rudis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1843.
