Aeschynomene schliebenii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Aeschynomene schliebenii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Hermann Harms pada tahun 1936.
