Aetheolaena longepenicillata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Kolombia (Magdalena, Norte de Santander), hingga Venezuela barat laut. Nama ilmiah Aetheolaena longepenicillata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Heinrich "Bipontinus" Schultz pada tahun 1978.
