LILY OF THE NILE Agapanthusafricanus (L.) Hoffmanns.
Agapanthus africanus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Amaryllidaceae (suku bakung-bakungan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan lily of the nile. Nama ilmiah Agapanthus africanus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Centurius von Hoffmannsegg pada tahun 1824.
