Agapanthus inapertus subsp. parviflorus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Amaryllidaceae (suku bakung-bakungan) yang tumbuh dengan kebiasaan membentuk bonggol di bawah tanah (geofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mpumalanga. Nama ilmiah Agapanthus inapertus subsp. parviflorus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frances Margaret Leighton (later Isaac) pada tahun 1965.
