Agelaea paradoxa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Connaraceae yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Agelaea paradoxa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernest Friedrich Gilg pada tahun 1891.
