Ageratina contorta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Jamaika. Nama ilmiah Ageratina contorta diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Dennis Adams pada tahun 1972.
