Agropyron mongolicum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mongolia hingga China utara. Nama ilmiah Agropyron mongolicum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Yi Li Keng pada tahun 1938.
