Agrostis atlantica merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Maroko (Pegunungan High Atlas). Nama ilmiah Agrostis atlantica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis René Maire pada tahun 1924.
