Agrostis imbecilla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Agrostis imbecilla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Victor Dmitrievich Zotov pada tahun 1943.
